Rain, Rain, Go Away!

This is what I see looking out my back door. It's just a rain cloud and no serious storms are predicted but . . look what I see when I look at my kitchen ceiling! I looked up at the ceiling and hoped it was a shadow from a lamp in the living room but . . it's a water stain.

The storm Friday night blew off a good size piece of my ridge vent. Chad got in the attic to see if he could do something from in there but the hole is huge.

I'm betting every roofer in this town is going to be busy for the next few weeks so here's Chad up on the roof trying to do what he can to minimize the leaks. Keep your fingers crossed that we have no more water damage.

I'm amused, your rain clouds look like the grey fabrics you pulled out the other day! Perhaps the sky will give you inspiration. ;)

Oh dear - I'm so sorry! Can you cover the hole with plastic? That must have been some storm.

You've had quite a time with water lately. First the leaky plumbing and now this! Guess blue tarp is in your future.

Hope Chad is able to get it sealed up until the roofer can get there. Man, I hate that you're having to deal with this!

Hopefully your temporary fix will keep the rain out until you can get someone there. We had a very overcast day here too but we got in a 10 mile hike before the rain started!

Oh my -- I have seen the weather reports on the news concerning your area. If this is the worst for you, I suppose it's not too bad. Hoping everything dries out for you soon and without too much mess or damage.

I also heard the weather reports and immediately thought of you, Judy. I'm sorry you have damage to get repaired, but I'm glad everyone is safe.

When I saw the cloud pictures I was worried. I'm glad no there is no structural damage, kinda nice having a guy around the house?!?!?
Stay dry-- hopefully you'll get a sunny day this week for repairs.

your cloud picture is so dramatic! sorry it resulted in the roof problem, though...

I'm just so glad to hear you're not in the path of all the flooding that I just heard about on the news.
Hope Chad can keep you dry till the roofer can get there.

We must of had the same storms as you. We only had a flooded back yard and street.

When I heard KY and other parts of the Midwest had bad, bad weather this weekend, I admittedly thought of you and your family and other friends that are in the area. Flooding, tornadoes, now leaking roofs.
