Quilters are SEW Nice!

Blogger is driving me nuts!!! Seems as though many of you cannot leave comments. I know you're having problems but I surely can't do anything about it. I'm posting the same things on my other blog which is will go directly to the new WordPress blog. We (my friend is doing all the work and I'm quietly watching) are not finished with that site yet. Some of you may not see photos on that blog and I'm not sure how to fix that. My friend is going to be gone next week and I don't want to bother her but we'll get everything fixed soon. I'm really sorry for all the confusion and hassle but I will get my blog *perfect* soon!

Suze from over at The Thread and I and I had been e-mailing during the Quilt for an Hour project and I mentioned that I wanted to get back into knitting and I'd love to try to make socks. She offered to send me the stuff to get started but I told her I would get it . she didn't need to do it. Well, she promptly packed up a little package with a pattern, needles and yarn and surprised me. I've never made socks and it looks like it takes 2 hands and 2 feet to handle all these needles! She even sent me a link that has instructional videos online.

Thanks Suze! I'm really excited to get started. I almost fell asleep last night with the laptop in the bed watching one of the videos.

And, Vicky over at LA Quilter has been sending me fat quarter packets and kits and gifts for years. Last year, she sent me a bundle of 1/4 yards of Caryl Fallert's fabric that looks hand dyed. It has been perfect for the project I've been working on this weekend.

Thanks Vicky! I've had so much fun with this yummy fabric!

Besides sewing a little today, I've cooked three meals (weekends keep me in the kitchen!) and spent about 3 hours working in the yard. It's nice and cool but that was still hard work. I think I'll be in bed early tonight!

Judy, you get more accomplished one day than anyone I know! Cooked three times AND almost finished a quilt top AND weeded for three hours. Girl, I don't know what kind of vitamins you take, but I want some!

Get some good rest tonight! You earned it!

Amazing list of accomplishments for the day. I'd rather do yard work than house work any day - even weeding. Fortunately, I don't have to do either one. =) I got sore muscles just from pulling a bazillion French knots last night!

Sorry to hear you're having more blogger woes. I can comment just fine (haven't switched the beta yet) but I'm among those who can't see your pictures on your wordpress blog.

And yes, I agree, quilters are sew nice!! :)

I'm beginning to think you have more hours in your day in Kentucky than I do in Florida...you are amazing!

How do you get so much done? And now you want to learn how to knit? You are my hero!

Wow, you always get so much done Judy! I love to knit - I'll be watching your sock progress, socks are one thing I haven't tried yet.

I can't believe how much you get done in a day either. I spent all weekend just trying to get my room READY to sew.
You are going to love that yarn. It makes a pattern in your socks no matter what size you knit.

For anyone having issues, I fixed the problem by hitting preview first, then it let me post!

I have discovered that beta bloggers can post to other beta bloggers just fine. If you are posting to a blogger, just use the Other choice and type in your blog address. Your picture won't show up but at least your comment will show. It is frustrating and when I read the discussion thread, it appears that blogger is working on the project.

I did get started on the Aug quilt to use as a QoV and have it posted.
