More Baptist Fans

The more I use the Baptist Fans template from Circle Lord, the more I love it. Today was spent quilting a customer's quilt using the BF and I don't show customer quilts here but I did get two more of my quilts done yesterday. Do you get tired of seeing the same quilts over and over? I'm so happy to share the tops here once I've finished piecing them and then I want to show them again after they're quilted. So, if you're tired of seeing this top, I'm sorry. I do love it though! And, I cannot keep a secret. I showed it to Vince and you'll never guess what he said. I like it . . it looks nautical! Nautical? I'm not so sure about that but . . it's done except for the binding and I may show it again after it's bound because I'll probably forget that I've already shown it here a dozen times!

The second one I quilted is one I made as a test for a QOV mystery a year or so ago. There will be a somewhat different (easier) version in the book. One of the teachers from last year who is waiting for a quilt likes blue so I think this one might go to her.

I have at least two more quilts to do using the BF template so I'm going to try to get one of those loaded tonight.

Come to think of it, those X&O's could maybe look a little bit like nautical flags... too funny! Glad that Vince likes it.

The 2nd quilt is a beauty too! Keep showing us - I enjoy watching the progress!

Cheers!

I like the combination of peaches and blues in that quilt too.

I enjoy seeing whatever you put up... and the quilting usually shows up nicely on your pix. :)

I am having trouble leaving comments on your blog (and some others) with my blogname abquilt. But when I use anonymouse it seems like it works. Strange.

The last post blogname should be abyquilt, not abquilt

Ooh, I love both of those quilts. I am becoming very, very addicted to Baptist Fan quilting myself! And as the first two commenters said, keep on showing us the progress. I never get tired of looking at beautiful quilts!!! KC Quilter

You can show your quilts as many times as you like - I like to see them :-)
Trying to comment as anonymous too - maybe I have better luck now.

No, I don't get tired of seeing any body's quilt tops as it progresses. Really I think it helps us all stay accountable--we state our goals and intentions, show the top or a few of the blocks as we go along and the quilting is just as important, I think. So many of us struggle with the idea of "quilt as desired" and don't have a clue what to do at that point to enhance the designs. Your "Hugs and Kisses" is an example of that--tops done, now what?

Every time I see one of your quilts done with the Baptist fans I want to buy to CL template. Maybe I'll break down and buy it once I get moved.
